Cummins and Leclanché partner to deliver lower-emission solutions for marine applications
Cummins and Leclanché have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see the duo working collaboratively to provide a wider range of integrated power solutions.
Under the MoU, the companies aim to offer an array of hybrid, battery-only and fuel cell package solutions for marine and rail applications. The solutions will utilize several power sources including engines, hydrogen fuel cells, battery packs and racks, and more.

The MoU will help Cummins with its Destination Zero strategy – the company’s plan to reach net zero emissions across its products by 2050. Cummins has also launched Accelera by Cummins a rebranding of its New Power business, to bring zero emissions solutions to market more quickly.
