CP Automation and PQ Engineering manage power risks

CP Automation enhances power quality solutions with German partnership. PQ ENGINEERING Nosswitz now offers SineTamer’s advanced devices, addressing power quality issues in Germany’s evolving energy landscape. This collaboration aims to tackle voltage instabilities and supraharmonics, benefiting major sectors such as automotive and chemical industries.

CP Automation and SineTamer have forged a strategic partnership with PQ ENGINEERING Nosswitz, a seasoned player in the power quality sector based in Otterfing, Germany. With over 50 years of operational experience, PQ ENGINEERING Nosswitz has dedicated the past three decades to advancing power quality and voltage stability solutions for the commercial and industrial sectors. This collaboration is set to enhance power quality offerings for major markets, including automotive, food and beverage, and chemical industries.

The partnership enables PQ ENGINEERING Nosswitz to incorporate SineTamer’s transient frequency attenuation devices (TFAD) into their offerings. Unlike conventional voltage-based solutions, these devices utilise frequency attenuation circuitry to actively follow the sine wave form, providing comprehensive protection. Additionally, SineTamer’s technology effectively addresses supraharmonics waveform distortions in the 2-150 kHz range, a challenge often missed by traditional devices.

Ralf Nosswitz, CEO of PQ ENGINEERING Nosswitz, commented, “Germany’s shift from large power plants to decentralised sources has introduced voltage dips and instabilities. Our existing products, including passive and active harmonic filters and our hybrid filter, offer robust mitigation solutions. The addition of SineTamer devices further strengthens our capabilities, offering customers a valuable tool against supraharmonics.”

John Mitchell, Global Sales and Marketing Director at CP Automation, praised the collaboration, stating, “Ralf and his team have a profound understanding of Germany’s power quality landscape. The integration of SineTamer aligns seamlessly with their existing solutions, meeting the growing challenges posed by distributed energy and power electronics.”

Jeff Edwards, CEO and Founder of SineTamer, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting, “We are excited to work with PQ ENGINEERING Nosswitz. Their insights into transient and supraharmonic challenges faced by commercial and industrial clients assure us that our technology will significantly enhance their portfolio.”
