Cincoze introduces industrial computing solution

Cincoze, a rugged embedded computer brand, has recently introduced the DV-1100 series, an industrial computing solution tailored for Edge computing. This series strikes a balance between robust performance and essential input/output capabilities, making it highly suitable for large-scale Edge computing projects globally. The DV-1100 is particularly adept at handling applications demanding real-time, large-scale image processing, data computation, and rapid data transmission, such as machine vision, licence plate recognition, and smart logistics.

Machine vision for product counting

Machine vision is increasingly supplanting manual inspection due to its superior efficiency and accuracy in tasks such as high-speed product inspection, counting, and the identification of colours and varieties.

The DV-1100 is equipped to handle these demanding tasks, featuring up to the 13th/12th generation Intel Core i9 processors (Raptor Lake-S / Alder Lake-S) with 24 cores, and the UHD 770 with Intel Xe architecture, delivering excellent GPU performance for image classification inference.

Additionally, the system supports up to 32GB DDR5 memory (4800MHz) and high-speed NVMe solid-state drives. The DV-1100’s high-speed I/O interfaces, including 2.5G LAN and 10Gbps USB3.2 Gen2x1, ensure seamless connectivity with peripheral devices such as cameras, sensors, and light sources. It holds multiple international certifications, such as the US UL safety certification and the EMC standard for industrial environments (EN 61000-6-2/4), guaranteeing stable and reliable operation in harsh conditions.

Licence plate recognition

In parking management, the DV-1100 plays an important role in licence plate recognition systems, which automatically identify vehicles’ licence plate numbers as they enter and exit, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and convenience.

The DV-1100’s robust computing capabilities facilitate real-time image processing, and its compact design, measuring just 224.1 x 162 x 62 mm, makes it ideal for installations with space constraints. The system accommodates large storage needs for licence plate image data with its built-in 2.5″ HDD/SSD slot, and further expansion is possible via M.2 Key B, M.2 Key E, and M.2 Key M slots, enabling the addition of wireless communication (5G, Wi-Fi, GNSS) and extra storage as required.

Moreover, the DV-1100’s industrial-grade protection and support for wide temperature ranges (-40°C to 70°C) and wide voltage (9 to 48 VDC) make it particularly suited for outdoor parking applications.

Automatic mail sorting

Modern postal services increasingly rely on automatic mail sorting machines equipped with optical character recognition (OCR) technology to expedite the classification and processing of mail. The DV-1100, with its comprehensive native I/O (including 2x LAN, 6x USB, and 2x COM) and additional I/Os (such as HDMI, DisplayPort, COM, and DIO) offered through Cincoze’s exclusive expansion module technology, is ideal for connecting to a variety of external devices like sensors, cameras, and scanners.

The DV-1100 also provides multiple industrial-grade protections during operation, such as overvoltage, overcurrent, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. It complies with the US military anti-shock and vibration standard (MIL-STD-810H), ensuring high reliability and stability even in environments subject to continuous vibrations.
