Carlsberg Britvic is broadening its selection of soft drinks with the introduction of two new Pepsi Zero Sugar flavours — Strawberries ‘N’ Cream and Cream Soda.

The new variants are currently available at a few grocery stores before spreading to the restaurant and convenience industries later in the year.

The goal of the introduction is to take advantage of the growing demand for flavoured colas, a market that is developing more quickly than traditional unflavoured cola, especially among younger consumers. As part of its aim to increase engagement in the market, Pepsi has already offered a variety of flavour options, such as Pepsi Electric and Pepsi MAX Mango.

Ben Parker, vice president commercial off-trade at Carlsberg Britvic, said the new products are designed to appeal to Gen Z shoppers and offer retailers an opportunity to increase sales.

“This latest launch is an exciting and bold step into the indulgence space and is designed with Gen Z flavour lovers in mind,” he noted. “The treat-inspired flavours will entice shoppers with a new experience and help increase sales in a highly competitive category. We’ll be working with retailers to help make the launch a success, with the aim of increasing footfall and sales.”

To support the rollout, Carlsberg Britvic is providing retailers with point-of-sale materials and free case promotions aimed at driving visibility and consumer interest. The new Pepsi Zero Sugar Treats range will be available in multiple formats, including 500ml price-marked and plain bottles, multipacks of eight 330ml cans, and a 1.5-litre bottle for the Strawberries ‘N’ Cream variant.

Carlsberg Britvic was formed in January 2025.
