Behringer launches precision LPS-T series band saws

Behringer Saws has launched its LPS-T series of precision vertical band saws. Designed for high-accuracy cutting and minimal vibration, the new line targets manufacturers processing heavy blocks, plates, and complex workpieces.

Behringer Saws Inc. has unveiled the LPS-T series — a new generation of table band saws engineered for precision, reliability, and continuous operation in demanding industrial environments. The German-engineered system, available through the company’s Morgantown, Pennsylvania facility, combines a rigid frame design with precision linear guides to deliver repeatable accuracy across a wide range of materials.

The vertical format enables precise cutting of oversized blocks, plates, and non-standard geometries — a task increasingly critical in metal fabrication and component production. Each model incorporates a torsion-free saw frame to reduce deflection and vibration, extending machine life while maintaining dimensional integrity under load. A powerful drive motor and servo-controlled feed system ensure stable performance under continuous operation, even with difficult-to-cut alloys.

Variable band-speed adjustment allows operators to optimise cutting parameters for different materials, enhancing surface finish and blade longevity. The integrated chip conveyor automatically clears swarf from the cutting area, reducing manual cleaning and keeping the work envelope clear for high-throughput production. A large T-slotted worktable supports secure clamping of irregular or heavy parts — an essential capability for modern fabrication plants.

For advanced users, the LPS-TA variant adds CNC-controlled table motion for programmable, automated cutting cycles. This provides a route to higher utilisation and unattended operation, particularly in facilities handling repetitive or high-volume tasks. The LPS-T1500, the largest in the range, offers extended cutting capacity for extra-large workpieces, addressing the growing scale of components in renewable energy, transport, and heavy industry sectors.

According to Behringer, the LPS-T series also improves blade efficiency through its responsive servo feed system, which adjusts dynamically to cutting pressure. This prevents overloading and premature wear — a common source of downtime in conventional vertical saws. Optional accessories such as roller conveyors, material handling systems, and digital readouts further extend configuration flexibility.

By combining structural rigidity with advanced automation features, Behringer is positioning the LPS-T line as a benchmark for precision table band saws in industrial production. With a broad application base — from steel and aluminium to non-ferrous metals and plastics — the series underscores the ongoing convergence of mechanical precision and intelligent process control across the fabrication sector.

The company continues to expand North American availability through its Pennsylvania headquarters, which houses a full inventory of machines and parts, as well as local customisation and field service capability. Installations include operator training and commissioning to ensure immediate integration into production workflows — a practical move as manufacturers demand both precision and productivity from their capital equipment investments.
