Bakkavor reveals 37 opportunities for graduate and undergraduate placements
Bakkavor will be offering 20 graduate positions and 17 undergraduate placements in a variety of roles and locations throughout the United Kingdom during National Graduate Week from 28 October to 1 November 2024.
Starting in July 2025 for undergraduate placements and September 2025 for the graduate programme, Bakkavor provides a fast-paced, high-energy environment for motivated individuals eager to build a career in the food industry, offering real responsibilities from day one and dedicated support for future leadership roles.
Bakkavor’s award-winning Graduate Programme offers roles in manufacturing, finance, technical, human resources, development, and engineering, all within a tailored three-year leadership training programme. Successful applicants gain hands-on experience, contribute to key projects, study for a nationally recognised qualification, and engage in community and charitable activities. In addition, Bakkavor is announcing 17 undergraduate placement roles across various specialist functions, including manufacturing, finance, technical, development, commercial and HR.
This announcement comes as Bakkavor welcomed over 100 young people across its sites in 2024 in September, including 72 apprentices, 18 graduates, and 17 placement students.
In line with Bakkavor’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, 40% of the graduate and placement hires this year are female, demonstrating progress toward a more balanced workforce in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
Donna-Maria Lee, group HR director at Bakkavor Group, said: “National Graduate Week is a fantastic opportunity for young people considering their next steps to discover the exceptional opportunities available in 2025. At Bakkavor, we offer a diverse range of roles across various professional fields and locations throughout the UK, ensuring there’s something to suit a wide range of interests and career aspirations. This year, we are delighted to welcome over 100 young people into our business, many of whom have only recently started their journey with us.
“Our ongoing investment in talent through apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and industrial placements is crucial to shaping the future success of our business. By offering valuable learning experiences along with competitive rewards, we consistently attract talented individuals, reinforcing our position as a leader in the fresh prepared foods industry.”
