Arduino UNO Q available for AI machine vision solutions

Mouser Electronics unveils the Arduino UNO Q single board computer. This cutting-edge platform is now available for order, offering high-performance computing and real-time control. With features like AI acceleration and robust connectivity, it empowers developers to innovate across robotics and IoT sectors.

Global distributor Mouser Electronics has announced the availability of the new Arduino UNO Q single board computer (SBC) on its platform. This release marks a significant advancement in the integration of high-performance computing with real-time control, providing a dynamic platform for innovators.

The UNO Q features a dual brain architecture, combining a Linux Debian-capable Qualcomm Dragonwing QRB2210 microprocessor with a real-time STM32U585 microcontroller from STMicroelectronics. This combination offers AI acceleration, efficient performance, and support for camera, display, and audio, making it ideal for next-generation robotics and IoT applications. The compact design includes a quad-core 2.0 GHz CPU, Adreno GPU, and dual ISP, offering a cost-effective yet advanced solution with machine vision capabilities.

Equipped with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB onboard eMMC storage, the UNO Q also includes the Arduino App Lab, an open-source platform designed for rapid AI-powered solution development. Seamless integration with the Edge Impulse platform allows developers to build, optimise, and scale AI models efficiently. This capability is crucial for applications like object detection, anomaly detection, image classification, sound recognition, and keyword spotting.

Connectivity is robust, with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, complemented by classic UNO headers, high-speed bottom headers, and a Qwiic I²C connector for expansion. An onboard USB-Type C connector supports power delivery and video output, alongside an 8 × 13 LED matrix for visual feedback and creation.
