Altus Group Celebrates 30 Years of Innovation with Scienscope
Altus Group, a prominent distributor of capital equipment within the electronics industry across the UK and Ireland, is pleased to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Scienscope International, a leading supplier of advanced inspection solutions. Over the past three decades, Scienscope has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer-centric values, aligning closely with Altus’ core principles.
Since its establishment in 1994, Scienscope has been dedicated to providing dependable and cost-effective inspection solutions tailored for the electronics industries. Through continuous innovation and development of their offering, Scienscope has consistently set new standards in inspection processes, and have developed a large installation base as a record of that.
Initially specialising in optical inspection technology, Scienscope expanded its offerings to include X-ray Inspection Systems by the year 2000, enhancing product inspection accuracy and efficiency to unprecedented levels.
Joe Booth, CEO, Altus Group, said: “At Altus Group, we are selective about partnering with companies that exemplify industry leadership through customer-centric solutions and constant innovation. Scienscope’s remarkable 30-year journey, marked by development of customer fitting 2D Xray Inspection, counting, and material management technologies, makes them a valued partner aligned with our mission to deliver innovative capital equipment that solves real world problems with a strong ROI.”
A notable milestone over the years was when Scienscope introduced their first X-ray Component Counter in 2015, now in 2024 in it’s third generation, a solution that reshaped component counting and inventory management practices in the UK, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
From 2020 to 2024, Scienscope continued its legacy of innovation with the launch of Incoming Material Systems and Smart Storage Racks. These systems significantly improved efficiency and reliability in material management processes and introduced intelligent and automated storage solutions, further enhancing material control capabilities.
