An Approval in Principle (AiP) has been awarded to Samsung Heavy Industries’ (SHI) design for its ammonia-fueled Neo-Panamax container vessel.

ABS presented the company with the AiP at the Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition, which confirms the design has been reviewed by ABS against requirements outlined in the classification society’s Guide for Ammonia Fueled Vessels.
