Wild game specialist Wild and Game is celebrating achieving an AA rating from BRCGS – a coveted and stringent food safety standard. This is the second year running the company has achieved this rating.

The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety was developed by food industry experts from retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations to ensure it is rigorous and detailed. To achieve the standard, Wild and Game had all aspects of its business scrutinised, including storage, food safety and quality management, product control, hygiene, staff training and more.

Wild and Game sells game meats and charcuterie, heritage breed meats, cheeses and a wide range of pies, pasties, sausages and ready meals via its website and also wholesale to shops and catering businesses.

Wild and Game co-founder Steven Frampton said: “Achieving not just the standard, but also the top rating, means a huge amount to us and we’re grateful to our whole team for their outstanding efforts throughout the year to ensure that these high standards are maintained. This rating gives our customers reassurance that we have the most stringent levels of legality, hygiene, safety and quality throughout our operations. We’re delighted to have once again made the grade.”
