Antenna transmits, receives 915 MHz ISM and LoRaWAN signals

IoT devices that use the North American 915 MHz band for connectivity can use Antenova’s Fera antenna, part no SRFI068. The Fera is a flexible printed circuit (FPC) antenna that measures 33 mm × 13 mm × 0.15 mm. FPC antennas do not require a ground plane to function, meaning you don’t need to consume space around the antenna.

The Fera antenna is an FPC that you can bend or curl to precisely insert into your design. A self-adhesive patch holds the antenna in place. This simplifies the antenna’s integration and is practical for low to medium manufacturing volumes.

Fera is available in two shapes – horizontal and vertical orientation, providing two options for integrating it into your design. It uses an integral UFL IPEX connector with 100 mm or 150 mm cable lengths with horizontal and vertical options, providing you with several options for connecting to a PCB.

The Fera antenna is designed for smart IoT and monitoring applications now rolling out across North America in the ISM and LoRa bands. Applications include smart meters, medical devices, automotive applications, and other devices using ISM and LoRa gateways.
