Ellesco expands into the North
Having seen a significant increase in enquiries and demand, Ellesco has embarked on a programme of growth based on increasing stock and opening a new demonstration and service facility in Doncaster, to complement its established base in Christchurch, Dorset.
Following a change of ownership, the trials and tests of the pandemic, Ellesco (and the metal finishing industry and manufacturing as a whole) is experiencing growth and activity, thanks in part to innovative government funding schemes and tax breaks.
Ellesco is well known as the UK distributor of the Timesavers brand of metal deburring, slag removal and finishing machines and has recognised the difficulty for new and existing customers to travel from some parts of the UK to the south coast to see trials.
Doncaster has been approved as a large business regeneration area and has received millions of pounds worth of investment from the UK Government, which will help businesses of all sizes benefit from this thriving industrial city and surrounding areas.
“We have seen that many companies have used the recent period, together with government incentives, to seriously look into improving their processes and efficiency,” explained Ellesco’s managing director, Guy Newton.
“We are delighted to commit to this new customer facility in Doncaster as it will make trials and operator training available in a much more convenient location for many new and existing customers. Following the appointment of Stuart Haig as technical sales engineer for Scotland and the North East, we have seen growth in enquiries and sales purely from the level of dedicated support we offer in the initial assessment process and ongoing service.”
The new location aims to help people learn first-hand about the labour saving and cost advantages of the Timesavers specialist metal finishing machines and how upgrading production or improving capabilities is now easier thanks to the Government’s Super Tax deductions.
Ellesco has produced a video to help explain what these deductions mean for the metalcutting and metalworking industries.
At the new facility, clients will be invited to experience new automated methods for part clean-up including the innovative new Hammerhead slag removal machine which effortlessly removes slag caused during cutting/part production. Customers will also benefit from faster delivery to Northern locations.
