New sales director for ATAM UK

In what The Fluid Power Centre Group of Companies is calling a significant appointment, Steve Morecroft has been appointed to the position of Sales Director with encapsulated coil, industrial connector and sensor specialist ATAM (UK) Ltd.

Previously Camozzi Automation’s OEM Midlands Key Account Manager, Steve brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having worked in various areas of the industry since embarking on a technical apprenticeship straight from school.

While looking to develop new market opportunities, Steve’s new position will see him building upon ATAM’s existing customer partnerships. He will also be responsible for sales across Scandinavia and Benelux. He commented: “ATAM is very strong in the UK connector market, but few current customers appreciate the breadth and capability of our solenoid valve coil range and I will be looking to expand ATAM’s presence in automotive and off-highway sectors amongst others.

“A key part of my brief will be to communicate the huge financial and productivity benefits that can be achieved through working in close partnership on finely tuned solutions. We will be encouraging customers to look beyond off the shelf products and present us with application challenges that will allow us to demonstrate our capabilities.”
