LOCTITE to show EV repair solutions

LOCTITE will showcase EV repair products at Birmingham event. The range covers battery repair, thermal management, e-Drive systems, sealing, threadlocking, and wider workshop repair applications.

LOCTITE will showcase its latest solutions for electric vehicle repair at the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event 2026, taking place 3rd-4th June at the NEC, Birmingham.

As electric vehicles become more common in UK workshops, repair professionals are facing new challenges around high-voltage safety, battery repair, thermal management and e-Drive systems. Through its Vehicle Repair & Maintenance range, LOCTITE will demonstrate how specialist adhesive and sealant technologies can support efficient, safe and sustainable repairs across a range of EV applications.

George Hickey, Market & Customer Activation Manager at Henkel, said: “Electric vehicles are changing the way workshops approach repair, particularly when it comes to batteries, e-Drive systems and high-voltage components. At the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event, we’re looking forward to showing repair professionals how LOCTITE solutions can help them carry out safe, efficient and sustainable EV repairs, while supporting long-term vehicle reliability.”

The LOCTITE portfolio for e-Mobility repair includes thermal gap fillers, gasketing solutions, threadlockers and retaining compounds, developed to meet the specific requirements of EV battery and e-Drive systems. These products help workshops carry out repairs with precision and reliability, while supporting circularity by extending the usable life of key vehicle components.

The EV battery is one of the most critical and costly components in an electric vehicle. Where repair is possible, rather than replacement, battery repair can save up to 77 per cent in costs and 91 per cent in CO₂ emissions. LOCTITE gasketing and thermal management solutions are designed to help workshops manage battery repair requirements safely and effectively, while maintaining long-term vehicle performance.

LOCTITE e-Drive repair solutions also support the demands of high-performance electric motor systems. Retaining compounds can be used when replacing bearings, threadlockers help protect critical fasteners against loosening caused by vibration and gasketing materials help restore reliable sealing after repair to protect against moisture and dust ingress.

Alongside product performance, LOCTITE will highlight the role of repair in improving sustainability across the vehicle lifecycle. Its e-Mobility repair portfolio supports the 4R framework: repair, reuse, remanufacture and recycle. This approach helps workshops reduce waste, protect valuable components and contribute to more circular vehicle repair practices.

Visitors to the LOCTITE stand will be able to speak to technical specialists about the practical challenges of EV repair and the products available to support workshops as the aftermarket adapts to changing vehicle technologies.

The LOCTITE Vehicle Repair & Maintenance range also covers key workshop application areas including body repair, body protection, exterior finish, small and smart repair, mechanical repair and windscreen replacement. These are supported by cleaning and pre-treatment solutions, application-specific equipment and technical support for workshop teams.
