UK food makers to benefit from KMC-Daymer Ingredients deal

KMC amba has announced a new collaboration with Daymer Ingredients Limited, a well-known ingredient distribution business with headquarters in the UK. By providing food makers in the UK with value-adding potato-based solutions, this partnership is expected to improve both businesses’ growth strategies.

Adam Shaw, country manager UK and Ireland at KMC, commented: “Finding the right partner to support our expansion in the UK has been key. When the opportunity arose to engage with Daymer Ingredients, it was a natural fit for us. Daymer will initially focus on our native clean label potato starch solutions, but we plan to soon extend the relationship to our specialised and modified potato starches, leveraging Daymer’s considerable expertise in these areas.”

James Brace, managing director of Daymer Ingredients, added: “We are excited to collaborate with KMC, a company that shares our dedication to innovation, quality and sustainability. Their industry-leading potato-based ingredients offer a fresh approach that balances innovation with real world food industry needs.”

KMC’s vision to be the first natural choice supplier of value adding potato-based ingredients to the global food industry is being solidified through substantial investments in potato cultivation and factory modernisation. These initiatives position KMC as a leading, sustainability driven, and innovative supplier in this sector.

Believing in a plant-based and climate-friendly future, KMC assists food manufacturers in making their products more sustainable. Made from non-allergenic and gluten-free potato starch, KMC products offer plant-based alternatives for various applications traditionally using animal-based components, including replacing dairy proteins, eliminating eggs and reformulating without gelatine.

This aligns with Daymer’s mission to help food manufacturers create planet-friendly products, improve nutrition, enhance functional health benefits, and maintain clear and transparent labelling.

The partnership marks the beginning of a promising collaboration that will bring customers innovative, high-quality ingredients and create new opportunities for growth. By combining the two companies’ strengths, the aim is to deliver superior solutions that meet the evolving needs of food manufacturers
