A cooperation agreement has been struck at IFFA between Provisur and the Multivac Group to provide integrated slicing lines for raw gammon and bacon products in the high-output categories.
Announced at IFFA 2025, the companies said customers benefit from perfectly coordinated line solutions from one source – from slicing through to loading, packaging and labelling, and right up to quality control. In addition to the output capability of the lines, the focus is primarily on the weight accuracy and yield of the slicing solutions.
Brian Perkins, president at Provisur described Mulivac as the perfect partner that shares its vision in its “unparalleled desire to push boundaries and provide full line solutions to our customers”.
“With Provisur’s complimentary product offerings and extensive applications expertise in this sector, we can provide unmatched industry-leading solutions to our customers, effective immediately. Provisur and Multivac are embarking on a significant partnership as two industry leading brands. I am excited about the opportunities for the future,” explained Brian Perkins, president at Provisur.
To support even more flexibly the growing customer requirements in the slicing sector, Multivac is expanding its product portfolio for integrated line solutions.
“In discussions with our customers, we have identified an urgent need for slicing solutions for natural products in the high-output range, where we currently do not yet have a slicer in our portfolio,“ explained Christian Traumann, group president of the Multivac Group. “It is our aspiration to be able to offer our customers high-quality solutions with added value in this market sector as well. To close the gap in our product range in the short term, we have decided on a cooperation agreement: in Provisur we have found a partner, who has decades of experience in “whole muscle” applications, ie bacon and raw ham products, and who has a very well aligned portfolio of slicers in this sector. Working together, we can with immediate effect offer our customers very good line solutions in the high-output categories.”
Both see this a case of global cooperation as providing joint solutions on a worldwide basis. Complete slicing lines can be sold in future via Provisur or via Multivac.
Multivac will take on the project management for the complete line on behalf of the customer and will also offer worldwide service and after-sales care to its customers. Food processing companies will benefit from Multivac’s line expertise and just one supplier.
