Provisur redesigns Bone Cannon to recover more meat, use less energy

With a new design, Provisur’s Bone Cannon offers a capacity increase and even higher levels of recovery.

Every part of the raw material moves through a finer separation process that produces high-quality material for human consumption or for pet food. Bone residue, for example, can be sold to the rendering industry.

This is coupled with a noticeable reduction in noise and water consumption, and a new motor that reduces energy consumption.

A pre-sizer reduces bones prior to separation in the Bone Cannon. This increases the overall capacity and yield of the separator. The pre-sizer can handle the hardest and largest bones. From here the raw material is moved to the Bone Cannon and pressed through opposing hydraulic cylinders. After extracting the meat, the bone cake drops away from the machine onto a conveyor. The result of this process very clean bone material and maximum protein recovery. The counter ram cylinder with meat pipe ensures maximum yields.

For further processing the meat is fed into a finer separator to ensure every last bit of bone material is removed. Provisur customers can choose between two options: the belt Soft Tissue Separators which enable efficient separation while best preserving the integrity and structure of the food, or the Piranha RSBF04 separator that delivers maximum yield for quality ground meat.

The Bone Cannon is extremely versatile able to handle a wide range of applications. A further advantage is that the Bone Cannon can be set up in a high efficiency compact fully automated line with pre-sizer and feeding system as well as other periphery, all from a single source by Provisur, which guarantees the highest level of hygiene as no human contact is necessary.
