Koehler Paper and IRIS Bio provide recyclable packaging for pasta

Koehler Paper has packaged pasta in one of its flexible packaging papers in collaboration with the Italian pasta manufacturer Astrabio.

In a first for the company, heat-sealable paper called “Koehler NexPlus Seal Pure” is noted for extending shelf life, safeguarding the product within, and has exceptional strength qualities that make it ideal for additional processing on conventional packaging equipment.

“With ‘Koehler NexPlus Seal Pure, we offer a packaging paper with a significantly reduced carbon footprint in comparison to conventional plastic packaging, not to mention that it also boasts the significant benefit of being recyclable and conserving valuable resources as a result,” says Mauro Moretti, flexible packaging paper sales manager at Koehler Italia, while going over this new application for the paper.

Koehler Paper said it has received positive feedback from customers, which supports the Iris Bio brand’s approach to producing high-quality food via sustainable agriculture.
