“Generous and glossy with a lovely burnt topping and evenly baked, flaky, well laminated pastry. The custard is rich and tasty with good levels of vanilla – outstanding in flavour and texture”

“They have a thick, crisp flaky pastry and plenty of smooth, soft custard. They are not too sweet either, which is a big bonus. We think these have been very well made”

Produced in their Portuguese factory and shipped directly to the UK, Maria Nata is able to provide the loved Portuguese sweet treat directly to wholesale, trade and foodservice clients as a white label product. Offering different flavours (classic, vegan and chocolate) the products are made exclusively in Portugal following a century old recipe, using only the finest natural ingredients. The result is crisp and light featuring a swirl of pastry, different to puff pastry which is wrongly used to imitate a nata base, and shipped frozen to customers ready to be cooked.

The new Maria Nata Lab is led by the loyal customers of the brand. The in-house team are able to work closely with their business customers by designing products around their needs. Whether it’s creative ideas, specific packaging or seasonal recipes unique to a specific client, the Maria Nata Lab team can become an extension of the in-house team.
