Adam Fletcher, Chairman of the Electronic Components Supply Network (ecsn), an industry body dedicated to promoting positive collaboration throughout the UK’s electronic components supply network, has welcomed Digi International Inc. (www.digi.com) as the latest company to join the association. Acknowledged as the pioneer in wireless communication, Digi International is helping to define the future for connected devices. At the same time the company accepted a seat on ecsn’s Leadership Group. Representing Digi on the committee will be Ronald ‘Ron’ Singh, BU Director, Digi OEM.

Founded in 1970 ecsn is a member managed, not-for-profit industry association that supports the electronic components supply network across the entire lifecycle from “cradle-to-grave-and-re-birth”. In the UK ecsn manufacturer authorised distributor members account for over 85% of the Distributor Total Available Market (DTAM). Ron Singh commented:  “I look forward to sharing my thoughts on how the electronic components industry is focused on serving its many valued customers, and some key inflection points the industry is experiencing today that pose opportunities for developers and distributors alike”.  For his part, Adam Fletcher said, “I’m convinced that Ron will add significant value to our Leadership Group, which today comprises of over 30 industry thought leaders who collaborate to provide guidance to our 54-year-old association”.
